Thank you for introducing me to the Forex Mastery course run by Hettie Nel.
Although I’m not a complete novice as I know my around MT 4 trading platform and have completed a few paper trading trades. I felt that if I was to move to the next level and be able to make a success of Forex Trading I needed some expert tuition.
Hettie’s course is very comprehensive and she makes it very enjoyable and easy to understand.
The Forex Mastery course consists of 14 hours of One to One training. The duration of the sessions are usually 2 hours but can be reduced to 1 hour to suit your circumstances as it’s personalized to suit the client. This made it very easy for me to participate on the days and times that fitted into my schedule.
We talked via Skype and used the TeamViewer software for screen sharing, both of which are free of charge.
The first 2 hour session was tackling the day trading strategy and was mainly dedicated to getting pro-efficient with MT4 platform and as Hettie called it “the housekeeping work”.
We were able to customize my trading platform and added a few indicators and spend time becoming familiar with: When is the best time to trade and very important, When NOT to trade.
Also part of the 1st training session is becoming familiar with Japanese candlestick formations and price actions. At the end of the session I was given some homework that included me marking my candlestick patterns on my own platform. The 2nd session Hettie went over my homework and we checked together whether I had understood and could interpret the candle formations correctly.
After each session I was sent all the materials that supported that days training, this proved an excellent way to receive the training packages as it followed each day and was relevant to what I had just learned.
The 2nd and 3rd training sessions were following on with the day trading strategy and there was a day between the sessions where me and Hettie would analyze the trades I had done on my practice account and Hettie would explain to me why there were some winners and why others turned out not so good. Together we would look to see if I’d followed the rules, they are easy to follow with the clear and precise trading checklist that was provided.
After completion of the day trading strategy I found the scalp trading so much easier and everything just made sense to me, without having the knowledge of the day trading strategy the scalping would not be nearly as easy to understand.
Hettie took the time to help me understand the difference between a trading plan and a trading strategy and helped me to design my own trading plan. And then there was the session where we did the Forex personality assessment it gave me so much confidence as I could now focus on my niche.
The final sessions concentrated on swing trading and long term strategies, with every session discussing psychology and money management.
I really got the feeling throughout the whole course that Hettie was just there for me, if I had any problems I could contact anytime and always got an immediate response.
After completion of the course there is a 3 month free support period, and what is great is that it also one on one. The support sessions normally take the form of short power workshops where we could discuss my trades good and bad. These power workshops really helped me to stay on track and not violate the rules of the strategies.
Finally I’d like to say how incredibly patient Hettie was, nothing was ever too much trouble and with her help I have mastered the course at my own pace and I’m now trading successfully on my own.
